Hi! I’m Tessa, the face behind Tess Travels, and this is Loena (picture) my four-legged adventure buddy and best friend.

Together, we’ve been exploring Europe full-time in our self-built campervan for the past few years, chasing mountain sunrises, hidden hiking trails, quiet lakes, and all the little moments that make life feel extraordinary. But this lifestyle didn’t happen overnight!

 

A few years ago, I realised I was living a life that no longer felt like my own. After struggling with my mental health, I decided something had to change. I booked a one-way ticket to Iceland for my very first solo trip, and that journey completely changed the direction of my life.

It reminded me that life doesn’t have to follow the script we’re often handed. Sometimes the biggest growth begins the moment you step outside your comfort zone. When I returned home, I quit my job, bought a campervan, and slowly built a completely different life, one filled with freedom, adventure, and a deep appreciation for nature.

​

Loena has her own story too; I rescued  her from a puppy mill after spending the first years of her life in terrible conditions. Since then, we’ve been healing, learning, and exploring the world together. 

​

Today, Tess Travels is about much more than beautiful destinations. It’s about showing that adventure doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s about choosing experiences over routines, finding joy in simple moments, and encouraging others to create a life that feels true to them, whatever that looks like.

​

Whether we’re parked beside a Norwegian fjord, hiking through the Dolomites, or getting stuck in the mud somewhere in the middle of nowhere, I hope our adventures inspire you to explore a little more, worry a little less, and make memories you’ll never forget.

Because at the end of the day, those memories are the only things we truly get to keep.
